That was the week…
Every Tuesday I intend to do a quick review of some of the posts from the last week that have made me smile, made me chuckle or, even…. just made me think.
Some of these you may have seen yourselves.
And some of them you may have missed.
I don’t think of these in any competitive sense at all.
This isn’t a top-ten listing.
They’re merely the posts that have stuck in my head.
1
). The first one is a blog posting I’m quite jealous of.
I met my neighbours Rosalyn and Paul in La Gacilly last Saturday.
Paul mentioned that he was going to take some photos of the road signs and try to find out some of the history behind them.
“What a great idea”, I thought. “I wish I’d thought of that first!”
The results can be seen at An English Rose in France.
Please leave a comment there if you like what you see.
2). I really shouldn’t laugh but…
Well, let’s be honest; I thought it was funny!
I bet the lorry driver didn’t though!
What am I talking about?
Well, you’ll have to check out Friday’s post on A Languedoc Journal to find out.
3). I enjoyed Sara’s description of Sunday lunch in the Provence in Sara in Le Petit Village.
I’ve never met her but I always (for some strange reason) think that she’s just about to drop something (or break something.)
I’ve got absolutely no idea why.
In a way it was a relief to get through the meal (in a voyeuristic way), with out hearing the crash of crockery.
Perhaps I just need to get out more?
4). I was glad to hear that there was news from ToutSweetLand (or, at least, A list of Reasons to be Cheerful) and that Tout Allure is nearly finished.
Whatever ups and downs have occurred in Mimi Pompom’s life she seems to be rather positive;.
As you would expect from someone who admits that….
“When worried about my personal debt mountain I buy Baccarat crystal champagne glasses to cheer myself up.”
Good on you, girl!
5). Finally (or I’d be here all day and this would end up being a list of every post that was published during the last week), I’ve just got to mention Saturday’s post from Lost in Cheeseland
Good photography, intelligent writing and a subject matter that I’d never come across before… a restaurant that specialises in apples.
6). And really, really finally…. I also liked Sunday’s post from God, I Love Paris.
All the best

Keith you crack me up! You must be psychic because on Sunday while cooking swedish meatballs for The Boyfriend and his brother, I dropped and broke the plate I was stacking the meatballs on!
Thanks for including me on your list, I’m flattered

Sara Louise – I think I heard the crash! Hope you picked the meatballs up off the floor and served them anyway!
