Travelling Amber is the blog of an American ex-pat living with Reunion guy, Jeremie, in the cold north of France.
Amongst all the posts concerning renovating their apartment, we also find out that Amber treats herself to a red Smart cat (Welcoming LadyBug to the Family), which she, for some strange reason, calls LadyBug.
Then, even stranger, she crashes the new car (That’s Why They Call It an Accident)
Now, I’m not going to make any comments about road accidents, women, Smart cars and the bizarre tendency for women to name their cars (Smart or not), but……
You know that Amber has lived in France for long enough when she starts one of her posts (La Poste) with the words…. “The civil servants in France are some of the most frustrating people I’ve ever encountered.” I wonder what she can mean?
Amber does seem to have a way with Les Gendarmes, as you will find out if you read… No License? No Registration? No Problem! Now, that sort of behaviour has never worked for me!
You know that Amber has lived in France for long enough when she writes articles about Chaos in the form of Pig Murderers and Bureaucrats and Disfonctionnaires!
Many of Ambers posts are like little essays so don’t rush to read all the way through the blog in one go; you need to take your time.
I suppose that the whole blog could be best summed up by these words taken randomly from a post about renovation… “I love Ikea. I love Ikea so much that if it was a man, i’d probably marry it.”
All the best
