A Taste of Garlic

Another day, another photoblog.

Like yesterday’s this one is also annotated in both French and English.

Chateaubriant Daily Photo is a clever mix of superb photos, each catagorised by a colour.

After 840 posts, it’s hard to choose ones that stand out; they really are all very good!

I suppose that if I were put up against a wall, with a firing squad at the ready and someone threatening to smash my Johnny Hallyday record collection, I would probably come up with the following posts that  interested me and have provoked some thoughtful reflection….

1).  Etang – water and trees.  A great combination for me.

2).  Les vélos d’André – wondering how long it would take to strip them do and do them up?

3).  Petit bois – water and trees again?

4).  Fisherman – the way fishing should be.  The photo is captioned… “The fish are requested not to bite during the nap!”

5).  No Fish – “I found this line which floated at the edge of the pond.  There was neither fish on one end nor fisherman on the other.”

6). Abandoned – what stories could it tell?  And such a shame for buildings to lie empty when people sleep rough.

7). Grrr… – a mushroom post!

8).  No – Yes – Ouf – humour and shades of Thelwell, too!

And finally…

9).  Tôt – my favourite.  Memories of early morning walks into the forest.  Days of promise of baskets full of mushrooms or, (and sometimes also), a sighting of deer!

A photoblog is difficult to write about (or, at least, I find it difficult to write about them.)  People have their own tastes in pictures just as in music and poetry and, just as with poetry, pictures promote a very personal communication.

I’ll have to offer you the only advice I can…

Spare a little bit of time and investigate Chateaubriant Daily Photo.  You’ll be glad you did!
