hazy lazy days is Rustic’s blog about his life as a Karate instructor in the Limousin.
Actually, there’s precious little in this blog about Karate (or, indeed, any of the other martial arts) but there is plenty of exciting stuff about walking and about the vegetable plot for us to feed upon instead!
The blog starts in November 2009 with the post… This is the first entry in which Rustic talks about the colours in the garden and the health benefits of digging the land.
The bits that deal with mushrooms….
Now, like all the best Life in France blogs, Rustic does write a fair bit about wild mushrooms.
This qualifier might seem a bit unfair to any bloggers living in the big cities like Paris but…
You’ve got plenty of dog poo to blog about!
Rustic starts of by telling us about some Wild Food.
I’m not sure how edible they are – although a young Saffron Milkcap is delicious!
And then there more mushrooms to investigate.
Pretty, are they not, methinks shows even more beautiful mushrooms.
And, in Good life stuff, Rustic explains that he’s still a bit unsure about which mushrooms to pick…
And it’s always best to be a bit wary!
There are old mushroomers and there are bold mushroomers but there are no old bold mushroomers!
The veggie plot bits…
Rustic also seems to be rather keen to be Down the veggie plot.
And even though the weather hasn’t been too good, it seems to be doing OK!
Down the Veggie plot again and we’re left with… “Just a little veg left for the winter”
The walking bits….
He certainly like his walks as well!
Walks are great for quiet contemplation, as can be seen from plod one.
Just quiet solitude on an autumnal stroll!
Then there are More Walks with some lovely early spring photographs!
And there are Pictures from my walk with Mark and Cheryl with some spectacular views.
And isn’t that a beautiful lake shown in the photos taken on a little Sunday stroll?
The snowy bits…
It appears that it sometimes snows in Rustic’s little part of the Limousin!
But doesn’t it look pretty though?
I love the snow on the garden chairs!
You really do need to click on these photos so that you can enjoy them full size!
There’s also a video of a snowy Saturday in the Limousin.
That’s something that works very well!
And when Rustic says… “The weather is definitely interesting”, you certainly know what he means!
The local bits…
Some photos of Villechenour show us the hamlet where Rustic lives.
And we also get to see The Garden where I think Rustic spends much of his time.
And finally, a nice good look at The House where rustic lives!
So, summing up….
Still a youngish, fresh blog…. Hazy lazy days is an enticing and enchanting look at one man’s life in the Limousin.
I can’t understand why he’s only got three followers on his Google Friend Connect thingy
I would have thought that a blog as lovely as this one would have plenty of people popping in from time to time to see how Rustic is getting on?
Why don’t you pop down and take a look at Hazy lazy days to see why I like it so?
You might even want to leave a comment to encourage Rustic to keep up the good work?
And me? Well, whilst Rustic is busy saying hello to all you new visitors I’m going to take the opportunity to sneak into the kitchen to see if I can find any food!
My, that’s not a Yorkshire Pud I can spy, is it?
Please keep Rustic chatting – I may be some time!
All the best
