A Taste of Garlic

Blog in France - Limousin

limousin Blog in France because we all love reading blogs about life in FranceI’m not sure how I came across Blog in France but I’m glad I did.

The blog is sub-titled life, love and llamas in Limousin but it is so, so much more than that.  It is the tale of a family who have alpacas called Seamus and Brendan (there are plenty of others as well), and also a guinea-pig called Archer.

Now we also have a guinea-pig but ours is called Soon to be roasted and served with a chestnut brandy sauce!

And before all you animal rights people start getting worried;  I was only joking!  I do know that an Apricot and White Wine reduction is how it should be done!

Anyway, I digress…

As with all good Life in France blogs, there is the obligatory mushroom post…. To eat or not to eat?

Now, I have to admit that when I discovered this blog, I bookmarked it and left a reminder for me to come back and take another look.  Imagine my surprise when I did, only to find the latest post is called… Nodes and Nudes.  I took a deep breath and determined to investigate further.  After careful study, I found the post to be largely about gardening by the phases of the moon, plenty of TLC (or Tons of Llama C**p – as it is also known) and Naked Gardening Day!

None of which, I have to admit, put me off my further investigations one little bit!

Delving deeper, I discovered that there were posts about Wild Food, advice to Never underestimate la rentrée and more than a few posts about llamas and Alpacas, of which This is one.

I was glad to see that there were Prayers for the pets (I bet our pet guinea pig will be saying his prayers as soon as he reads this!) and some useful February sayings and traditions.

I loved the photos of the Llama (or Alpacas – whichever.)  I was going to say They’re so cute they look good enough to eat! But…. I think I’m probably in enough trouble over that Guinea pig comment earlier on!

Looking through the categories, I notice that the most populated category is the Family one.  And that kind of sums up this blog.  A family’s life in the Limousin; running carp fishing holidays and Llama trekking as well.  Posts such as Bus O’clock and Sick of Sick Notes remind you that the family comes first.

But don’t just take my word for it, pack your Guinea pig sarnies and head off down to Les Franges and pop into Blog in France to see for yourself.

By the way, if you ever get the inclination to spend a few hours/days/weeks going after that big carp, take a look here… CreuseCarp.com And, for Llama trekking, how about LLamaTrakking.fr

All the best

Thanks to following your selections I’ve found some lovely blogs. Not all to my taste, but plenty that are.
