Whoops!
Oh dear!
The intermittent internet problems that I’ve been suffering from for the last few weeks came to a head this morning, mid-post, when I lost my internet connection completely!
Orange are sending an engineer but not until the 20th!
I do have to say that they’ve been very good and they are going to try and route one earlier if one should be in the area.
So, whilst I may be able to prepare some BretonDiary posts offline and copy them onto a USB key for publication at the local Mediatheque, I won’t be able to do the research that is required for A Taste of Garlic.
I’d like to apologise to the 800 or so of you who manage to find your way here every day; I promise that A Taste of Garlic will be back on line soon but possibly only after the 20th of July.
In the meantime, I shall be largely changing out of my Winter LongJohns and into my summer ones!
This is a procedure that normally takes a few days, anyway!
All the best
Keith
P.S. Perfect Welcome; I’m sorry that your review got cut off mid-stream. I’ll get it finished as soon as I get the internet back!

I was having the same problems and had to wait 10 days for an engineer. They had to redo all the internal wiring – I am still waiting for the the bill:( The connection is still not 100% but they now tell me it is the laptop!!! D

Good luck with it all, Keith! See you as soon as you are able to be back.

Double spooky – first that my telephone/ADSL went completely yesterday and Orange can’t send an engineer out until the 20th and the fact that the first message is from another Diane who is also suffering at the hands of Orange! Our phone line has become magically re-routed to someone else in the village – there’s a little old lady getting fed up with all my incoming calls who will have to wait while the estimed Orange pull their fingers out!

Good idea buliding the local Meditheque next to a bar!
