A Taste of Garlic

A winner! - Competition

Ladies and Gentlemen…

competition A winner! because we all love reading blogs about life in FranceAfter loads of deliberation, much studying of all the entries and maybe just a couple of little glasses of wine…

I am happy to announce that we have decided on a winner for the Pig’s Bottom Sausage Challenge!

The winner of which will receive a copy of George East’s latest masterpiece….

French Impressions – Brittany as a prize!

I have put put the book on www.BooksAboutFrance.com and you can read more about it there.

There were a total of 42 entries from….

Jacqui – Special Places in France – 8

Sarah – St. Bloggie de Riviere – 8

Katie Mac – The Teapot Perspective – 8

competition A winner! because we all love reading blogs about life in FranceRichard Brown suggested that a site be created to run these sort of competitions all the time. I’m working on it Mr B! Watch this space!

Marilyn from The Website of Author Marilyn Z Thomas suggested that Jacqui was unbeatable…

And Virginia from Paris Through My Lens was brave enough to say… “Keith Darlin,
Forgive me but French sausage scares me to death. I just don’t go there.”

She should see what I get up to with Pig’s Trotters!

And now…

With no further ado….

Let’s see who won!

Now, I was rather hoping that my little entry would win….

competition A winner! because we all love reading blogs about life in FrancePig’s Bottom Sausage is really rather delicious
Although, for some, it might be a bit ambitious
A nice big Andouille a day
Keeps the doctor away, they say
And also makes your breath smell quite malicious!

But Mrs A Taste of Garlic told me not to be so silly!

So I deemed her own entry far too rude and that’s why I’m not mentioning it here!

And talking of rude…

Sarah’s – St. Bloggie de Riviere – little ditty was also deemed a bit rude for mentioning willies! See what you think….

An andouille’s a person who’s silly
(and might have an oversized willy)
It’s also a sausage
To taste it takes courage
Not to puke it all up especially.

In the end, the best entry was determined to be this wonderful limerick from Adrian – Special Places in France – (whom, I’m assured, had no help at all from his wife)

Sometimes I eat Andouille with you,
Sometimes we eat tripe too,
It tastes good to the French,
But the food has a stench,
That reminds us somewhat of poo!

competition A winner! because we all love reading blogs about life in FranceCongratulations Adrian!

If you’ll let me know your address I’ll get the book posted off straight away!

And for the rest of you, if you’d like a copy of George East’s latest masterpiece….

French Impressions – Brittany why not pop over to www.BooksAboutFrance.com and you can read more about it (and even order it) there.

Another competition is in the offing and maybe even a Limerick website as well.

Keep watching this space and….

You’ll be the first to know all about it!

All the best

As himself is busy in the garage with a grease gun and the Mini Cooper up on jacks I shall pass on his thanks. He is amazed, overwhelmed, but looking forward to a good read. Thank you.
