A Languedoc Journal

languedoc roussillon A Languedoc Journal because we all love reading blogs about life in FranceA Languedoc Journal is the blog of Alex Hampshire; a man whom I would describe (from the contents of his blog alone), as a younger version of Victor Meldrew.

Alex writes about his life in the Languedoc and sometimes (like the naughty little tinker that he is), uses the F word.

Most of the time, however,  his posts are just funny and obscenity free.  My favourite has got to be this one… Have a Little Fun – now, I’m going to have to try that out for myself!

He seems able to put his own quirky slant on current affairs, making them seem as trivial as local gossip whilst, at the same time, exaggerating trivial local events into global catastrophes!

When he’s being funny, though, he can be very funny.  This blog posting from May this year tickled my fancy….

If you receive an email from the ‘Department of Environment & Health’ saying not to eat tinned pork because of swine flu, just ignore it -

it’s SPAM !!

Drunken Expat Writer

languedoc roussillon Drunken Expat Writer because we all love reading blogs about life in FranceDrunken Expat Writer‘s blog won’t be for everyone.  In fact, it shouldn’t really be for anyone who can consider themselves…

1). Grown Up,

2). Civilised and

3). Decent.

However, if you can’t tick all three of the above you might want to take a look at Drunken Expat Writer‘s Blog.  I scored 0 out of 3 on the test so I find myself spending quite a lot of time browsing through the weblog of Bart Calendar who introduces his blog as… This is the blog of the Drunken Ex Pat Writer, a fictional creation who cares about nothing but vodka, cigs and pussy.

Ah, he likes cats, as well.  That’s nice, isn’t it?

Reading this blog is like waking up in a pool of vomit after a hard night’s partying and somehow knowing that it’s not your own vomit that you’ve been sleeping in.

Chez Loulou

languedoc roussillon Chez Loulou because we all love reading blogs about life in FranceAnother foodie French blog – sorry – I must be feeling hungry!

Chez Loulou is one of the most popular blogs to be found on the blogrolls of many other “Living in France” blogs.

I think that the secret to Chez Loulou‘s success is that the blog is updated almost every day, with lots of good photos and not too many words but, all of them pertinent and to the point.

It’s obvious that the author of the blog, Jennifer Greco is passionate both about her life in France and food.
