I’ve been planning to review My French Country Home for a long while now but it was only today when I was up to my shoulders in dog poo (yes I was reviewing another Paris blog), that I thought… “Bugger this for a game of soldiers” and decided to  decamp to the open spaces and fresh air of Normandy.

So, what can we expect to find here?

My French Country Home is Sharon’s blog and Sharon says of herself…

“British born, I adopted France as my home place a long time ago . My husband is French, our four wonderful children, three horses and lovely dog don’t really mind being French or English . Our friends are from all over, but we all share the love of good food, good company and beautiful surroundings. As my children grow older, I have more time for things beyond the family routine; interior design, writing and painting. I love living where I do, the way I do . La Prochaine Fois is Cathy’s journal for the three things she loves most: art, food, and language. It is, I have to say, a strangely seductive blog with beautiful photographs, beautifully organised on the page (with rounded corners and all that stuff) and just enough words, no more and no less.

There is a lot of chocolate and pâtisserie love in this blog and I was surprised to see, from Cathy’s photo, that she doesn’t have a tummy the size of Belgium. She’s lucky then as I seem to have put on 2 kilos just reading her blog.

Although Cathy is based in Evreux in Normany, she seems to get out and about quite a bit. There are blog entries from Lyon and Paris (and even one from Germany… Mannheim but, I’ll let her off that one!)
