enbellefrance - Brittany

brittany enbellefrance because we all love reading blogs about life in Franceenbellefrance is Ann J’s blog.  Ann J describes herself as Welsh, ex-pat and enjoying life in Brittany, France.

Nothing wrong with that!

When I first came across Ann’s blog I realised that I was not alone;  someone else suffered from the same disease as me…

Raging exlamitamitious, that is – which as you all know is that nasty habit of finishing off  post titles with an exclamation mark.

There are lots of exclamation marks on enbellefrance!  Some posts have more than one!!

The blog starts off on 1st January 2008 with the words… “Well, here I am, doing something that I really didn’t intend to do, but the more time I spend digging about on line the more it seems to be the ‘in’ thing to have a blog, and why should I be different (!!) though I really can’t imagine why anyone would be interested in my quite average life, but then again perhaps the bits about France will tempt visitors along now and then – here’s hoping!!”

I hope you noticed; One sentence – four exclamation marks.  Good grief, the woman’s almost as bad as me!!!

Amongst all the exclamation marks are articles such as… The (Very) Early Bird! – (6 question marks and 7 exclamation marks) or Another Fete Day! (lost count but rather a lot) or even… More Rain! (twenty-one exclamation marks!!!)

And, exclamation marks aside, I do have to say that this is a lovely blog about the loveliest part of France (but then I am biased) by someone who appears to be a lovely woman.

But, why not take a look for yourself at enbellefrance – you’ll be glad you did.

Oh, by the way… Ann also does quilting (whatever that is) – perhaps that’s where she caught all those exclamation marks from?

All the best

    Hello Keith!

Thank you for the boost to the old visitors counter, as they say all publicity is good publicity.

I make no apology for my ‘exclamations’, particularly in light of the following definition:

‘An exclamation mark or exclamation point (!), colloquially often bang, is a punctuation mark usually used after an interjection or exclamation to indicate strong feelings or high volume, and often marks the end of a sentence.’

I do,however, prefer to think that it has more to do with
my feelings about my post subject than a disease (!) but perhaps that’s my Celtic passion taking over!!

Thanks for all the nice comments about the Blog…….Ann J

Wow ! I’m going to feel terribly self conscious now every time I use an exclamation mark… ! Between using three periods a bit too much… and exclamation points, I’m probably diseased too ! Am off to look at Ann’s blog… thanks for the tips you’re providing. And I was happy to see you caught up with Nathalie down in Avignon, her blog is plenty of fun on a regular basis… it was even named a blog of note by blogger last summer…

Take care ! and thanks for all you do here !!!!!!
    ;-)
